Sebastian Meier-Ewert, Ph.D., co-founded GPC Biotech AG in 1997 and strongly contributed to building the company into a leading public European biotech company in the field of oncology. He served as Vorstand, Senior Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer of GPC Biotech AG and as Chief Operating Officer of their US affiliate. As Founder and Managing Director of Prosalix Sebastian Meier-Ewert conducts oncology drug development and offers consulting services to the life sciences industry. Additionally, Sebastian Meier-Ewert is Managing Director of KI Kapital, an investment company that provides growth financing and entrepreneurial support to life science companies. He is also Chairman of SAW Technologies, a company providing biosensor devices to the life science research market.
Dr. Meier-Ewert studied biochemistry at the University College, London. He completed his postgraduate training at the Imperial Cancer Research Fund in London and received his Ph.D. from the University of London. He is the recipient of several awards and author of more than 30 publications.
